01 Feb Heartfelt Gestures
“Oh, before you take off, I have a little something for you,” my friend casually mentioned as we strolled toward our cars after a delightful lunch.
With a playful grin, she dug into her purse.
“Ta-da!” she said, holding up a miniature bottle of rosemary mint shampoo.
“A souvenir from my work trip, courtesy of the hotel,” she laughed, handing me the little bottle.
“You remembered that I liked that?” I exclaimed, with a genuine smile lighting up my face. “That’s so thoughtful of you. Thank you so much.”
She laughed and gave a nonchalant wave of her hand saying, “It’s nothing.”
I walked away with the little bottle clutched in my hand, thinking it is one of the best feelings in the world when someone remembers a small detail about something you mentioned long ago.
It’s always the little things.
